At Paragon Tresses, we are committed to helping you maintain the exquisite, luxurious, and regal quality of your hair extensions. Follow these simple steps to ensure your Paragon Tresses extensions remain beautiful and radiant for as long as possible, incorporating the co-washing technique:
Upon receiving your hair extensions, it’s important to take the following steps to ensure their longevity and quality:
Step 1: Gentle Detangling
Before washing your Paragon Tresses hair extensions, gently detangle them using a wide-tooth comb or a specialized extension brush. Start from the ends and work your way up to the roots to prevent breakage.
Step 2: Seal Your Weft
Before installation, we recommend sealing the weft of your hair extensions. This extra layer of protection helps eliminate shedding and prolongs the lifespan of your investment.
Step 3: Co-Wash the Hair
Our Hair should be co-washed to transform it from its raw state to beautifully prepared hair ready for installation. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Co-wash the hair using a moisturizing conditioner.
Step 2: Rinse thoroughly with cold water.
Step 3: Gently scrunch up the hair to reform curls.
Step 4: Allow the hair to air dry completely.
Step 5: Proceed with installation.
Step 4: Maintenance Instructions for All Textures
Shampoo at least once a week with a hydrating, sulfate- and paraben-free product. The quality of your extensions depends on the products you use, so always opt for professional-grade shampoo and conditioner.
Rinse with lukewarm water and apply conditioner, combing through with a wide-tooth comb from ends to scalp.
Let the hair air dry naturally.
Step 5: Moisturizing Mask (Optional)
For an extra hydration boost, apply a moisturizing hair mask to your Paragon Tresses extensions once a week. Leave the mask on for the recommended time before rinsing it out thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Step 6: Air Dry Naturally
After washing, gently squeeze out excess water from your Paragon Tresses extensions using a towel. Avoid rubbing or wringing the hair, as this can cause damage.
Step 7: Minimize Heat Styling
Minimize heat styling to preserve the integrity of your Paragon Tresses extensions. If heat styling is necessary, use a heat protectant spray and always use a low to medium heat setting on your styling tools.
Step 8: Daily Maintenance
Use styling products minimally to avoid buildup.
For wavy and curly hair, use a spray bottle of water for a natural look. For a wet look, apply leave-in conditioner and water.
Avoid alcohol-based products to prevent drying out your investment.
Style as desired.
Step 9 Nighttime Care
Before bed, braid your hair into one large braid at the back of your neck or use a silk pillowcase or bonnet while you sleep. Silk allows your hair to glide smoothly, reducing friction and preventing your strands from getting rough.
Avoid going to bed with wet hair extensions. Your hair is at its weakest when wet, and sleeping with wet hair can cause significant damage.
In the morning, undo the braid, dampen the hair with a water bottle, comb through, scrunch gently, and let air dry before styling.
Step 10: Storage
When not in use, store your Paragon Tresses extensions in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use the provided storage pouch or hanger to keep the extensions safe and tangle-free between wears.
Step 11: Weft Protection
Avoid sewing through the top of the weft during installation, as it can cause damage and shedding. Sew around the weft instead and consider applying a sealant for added reinforcement.
By following these care tips, including the co-washing technique, you can prolong the life of your Paragon Tresses hair extensions and keep them looking exquisite, luxurious, and regal for every occasion.
